The House 1932

[Seoul Station Exit 15 → Walk 9 mins]


The House 1932, a 2-story building with one basement floor, was built in 1932. It adds on modernity while keeping the warm atmosphere of the wood building. As you enter from the red door, on the left, you will see different kinds of bread such as croissant, chestnut bread, pandoro, mont blanc, brioche, etc. All of them are popular but we recommend crab cream croque monsieur.

AMA

When you open the door, the café mascot - the dog, greets you by wagging its tail. The owner decorated the interior of the cafe all by himself. Dessert varies from day to day as the owner chooses different menu every day. The representative menu is Cinnamon Cream Latte. You can enjoy the scent and taste of cinnamon. The combination of the soft cream and latte is perfect.

The Red House

The Red House, a single-story building located on the slope at the back alley of Jungnim-dong. It is a pizza restaurant in neighborhood where you can taste authentic pizzas. The french owner and chef is confident with his french cuisines. You don't have to be nervous when ordering food because the owner can also speak Korean/English. Instead of the appearance, the restaurant became popular because of its authentic Italian flavor. After placing an order, it takes about 15 minutes to prepare your food. But it's so delicious that it is worth waiting.

Yuzu Ramen

The restaurant remains the appearance of electronics repair shop from the outside, and is designed in Japanese bar-type seats inside. Many people come from far away to visit this restaurant so waiting is a must during lunch time. The thin noodles are made by kneading whole wheat dough, so the texture is special. The owner does not use preservative and is confident about the healthy taste as he makes it every day.

Coffee Mill

It is located on the first floor of St. Joseph Apartment, the first residential and commercial complex in Korea. The owner brews coffee directly from the roasted coffee beans on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The coffee beans go through suitable ripening process. The coffee beans are available for purchase at a reasonable price (KRW 2,000 ~ KRW 3,000). Coffee beans and drip bags are also available, and they will have an online store soon.

Yak Hyeon Tteok Bang (So-dam)

Yak Hyeon Tteok Bang, located in Jungnim-ro, is a traditional dessert place. There are various types of rice cakes available, such as steamed rice cake, Injeolmi and songpyeon. You can enjoy rice cakes with drinks at the small cafe called So-dam. There is a smoothie which could be a meal replacement if you eat it with the rice cakes. The smoothie named "White Chilgok", which is made of seven grains, is the representative menu.
