It is called Gimpo International Airport or also known as Gimpo Airport. Gimpo Airport is widely known as the Korea airport for domectic flights to other city such as Jeju, Daegu and Busan, just to name a few.
Do you know that Gimpo Airport also has international flights? There are many international flights that fly out from Gimpo International Airport to neighbouring countries such as Japan and Taiwan. For instance, Gimpo Airport - Songshan Airport (Taipei, Taiwan), Gimpo Airport - Haneda (Tokyo, Japan), etc.
Of course, Korea Airport Railroad AREX has a station in Gimpo Airport too! It is called the Gimpo International Airport Station. In this post, we will be introducing AREX Gimpo International Airport Station.
1) Station Building
Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station is located on the B1 floor of the station building. The platform to take the train is located on B3 and B4 Floor of the station building.

If you are heading to Seoul Station from Gimpo International Airport Station, you need to go to B3 Floor. Meanwhile, if you are heading towards Incheon International Airport, you have to board at the platform on B4 Floor.
Note: On the B4 Floor, there are train track going to two destinations - Incheon International Airport and Geomam Station. Please check the correct train track before boarding.

You can find emergency lifesaving equipment in many areas in the platform of Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station. In case of emergency, one can find it easily in the station.
There is an escalator that goes to the basement floor.

You can find With Me convenient store and Dunkin Donuts Cafe in Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station. If you want immediate tax refund, you have to show your passport. Also, it is available for purchase from KRW30,000 to KRW199,999.
You can buy Korea Tour Card Vending Machine in Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station. It is located next to the convenient store.
Note: KRW50,000 note and coins are not acceptable in the machine.
Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station is connected to Gimpo Airport. Just walk straight after the convenient store and you will be able to see the sign that shows "Gimpo Airport".

3) Transfer to other Subway Line
At the Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station, you can transfer to Seoul Subway Line 5 and 9.
For Seoul Subway Line 9, it uses the same platform. When you get off from Airport Railroad AREX train, you can transfer immediately.
B3 Floor is towards Sports Complex Station / Express Bus Terminal Station direction, B4 Floor is towards Gaehwa direction.
There are express trains on Line 9. Please check the train information before boarding.
Stand on the red waiting line if you are boarding for express train, and green waiting line if you are taking the normal train.
For Seoul Subway Line 5, B3 Floor is for train going towards Macheon Station direction. Walk till the end of the platform, and you will be able to see the transfer gate.
For the train going towards Gaehwasan Staton, you have to go to B2 floor to transfer to Seoul Subway Line 5.
It is easy and convenient to walk to the Gimpo Airport from Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station. On the other hand, if you want to head towards Airport Railroad AREX Gimpo International Airport Station from Gimpo Airport, the escalator is located between Gate 1 and Gate 2.
Gimpo International Airport Station of Airport Railroad AREX Line, Seoul Subway Line 5 and Line 9, is always crowded. It is recommended that you check the platform and facilities before going to Gimpo Airport.
