As you may already know, there are many unique bakery shops and cafes in Yeonnam-dong. One of them is Fave Bakery (페이브 베이커리), a bakery cafe that sells all kinds of delicious bread and coffee that is located near AREX Hongik University Station.

Fave Bakery has four branches in Seoul and Yeonnam-dong is one of them. Although Fave Bakery Yeonnam-dong branch is not too big, it is always full of people.

Inside Fave Bakery Cafe, there are some small tables by the glass window, and a long table placed at the center of the store. Besides that, you can also watch the chef makes the bread in the cafe.

Freshly baked bread comes out every hour in Fave Bakery. Initially, Fave Bakery is famous for their crispy croissants. Nowadays, other bread such as Pandoro (팡도르) and butter bread are also the must-try bread in Fave Bakery.

Other than bakery and bread, you can also try the desserts in Fave Bakery. One of our recommended menu is the Mascarpone that goes well with coffee. For beverages, you can try flat white, green tea latte, and earl grey milk tea.

Choose the bread that you want and put it in the tray. After you have made payment at the counter, they will provide knife and fork.

[Hongdae] Refreshing Bingsu at Cafe Peony

If you visit Korea in the Winter, strawberry bingsu is a must try food. Why? Because Korean strawberries, especially in the winter, are famous for being sweet.

Here at Peony (피오니), a cafe located in Hongdae, is famous for its Strawberry bingsu.
When Peony first opened, it was famous for strawberry cakes and strawberry drinks and customers had to wait for more than 10 minutes even on weekdays. Recently, Peony's strawberry bingsu is gaining more attention and many people are coming to Peony to try their strawberry bingsu.

You can find various strawberry cakes in Peony. There are many customers who come to this cafe to buy one whole cake too.

The strawberries that they use to make cakes and bingsu in Peony are fresh and bought directly from various strawberry farms in Korea.

Strawberry is placed on the shaved ice, and some strawberries are also served separately on the plate. The bingsu is soft and sweet as condensed milk is added in the milk. You can eat the strawberries separately or you can mix it in the bingsu and eat it together. Peony can be found in Yeonnam-dong, and another branch in Hongdae.
