preferred method of travel when visiting another country is railroad. Korea is
no exception. When visiting Korea through the Incheon International Airport or
Gimpo International Airport, most move to downtown Seoul using the Incheon
International Airport Station or the Gimpo International Airport Station..jpg)
But when riding
the airport railroad through the Incheon International Airport for departure
late at night, it is good to well distinguish between the trains headed for the
Incheon International Airport Station and Geomam Station.
The last train headed for the Incheon International Airport departing from Seoul station is at 11:38 p.m. There are trains departing at 11:49 p.m. and midnight but they run only toward Geomam Station.
As a result, there are times when travellers go to the Incheon International Airport on an expensive taxi ride from Geomam Station after taking the trains departing at 11:49 p.m. or midnight.The airport railroads have two trains: an all stop train which stops at all 11 stations; and an express train which travels between the Seoul Station and the Incheon International Airport nonstop.
The all stop train which departs from Seoul Station alternates between the train headed to the Incheon International Airport and one headed to Geomam Station.
As a result,
when taking a train headed for Geomam Station, one can use the next train
headed for the Incheon International Airport after getting off at Geomam
Station.
But the train headed for Geomam Station which depart from Seoul Station at 11:49 p.m. and midnight is not followed by a train headed for the Incheon International Airport therefore especially must keep in mind. The last train headed for the Incheon International Airport departing from Seoul Station finishes at 11:38 p.m.
Also, there is a point to keep in mind when going to downtown Seoul by riding an airport railroad all stop train after arriving at the Incheon International Airport late at night.
The last train from the Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station starts at 11:42 p.m. but there is one more train departing at 11:57 p.m. which goes only up to Digital Media City Station.
The problem is when taking a train going only to Digital Media City Station, if the destination is Hongdae Station or near Seoul Station, Myongdong and the like, must again transfer to a taxi.
It is good to remember the last train from the Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station finishes at 11:42 p.m.
