has gotten to the airport ahead of time
and
had to wait for their flight, right?
Your
body and mind are exhausted due to anxiously waiting for your flight. To you
travelers, I introduce the Darakhyu Capsule Hotel, a comfortable place to relax
within the airport.
The
Darakhyu is located in the 1st floor basement level of Terminal 2 of
the Incheon and is Korea’s first domestic capsule style hotel waiting area in
the airport.
It’s
located in the public area of the airport so before you leave the country, you
can make good use of the hotel. At the same time, if you are making a
connecting flight, you can rest at the hotel after going through immigration
procedures.
(In
the case you are a foreigner making a connection, you will need a Korean visa.)
The
Darakhyu may be used freely 24 hours a day. You may arrive at the hotel and use
the self-check in machine while also being able to visit the Darakhyu homepage
and make a reservation in advance.
Due
to many passengers visiting the hotel, rooms can fill up quickly. So, we
recommend making reservations ahead of time.
At
the Darakhyu, there is a lobby lounge area with 24 hour reception and a
business center so you may have a quick meeting or relax whenever.
So,
shall we take a look at what kind of rooms are available?
There
are four styles of rooms at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2’s
Darakhyu.
Given
the name “capsule hotel” many people imagine the small sized rooms from Japan.
However, if you go inside, the rooms are setup like small hotel rooms.
Further,
the ‘Double Bed + Shower Room’ is available with people with disabilities in
mind.
Apart
from that, the Darakhyu is equipped with ‘smart systems’. Every room has the
most up-to-date IoT systems allowing you to easily control the air conditioner,
heating, and light from a phone application.
If
you wish to install the application, you may do so at the time of check-in via
the reception’s instructions.
Lastly,
something to take note of with the rooms is that there
are Bluetooth speakers installed so that you may
enjoy
listen to music while you relax.
The
bathrooms are available to all guests, so even those who have a room without a
shower may use these general showers facilities.
Further,
non-guests may also make use of the shower facilities, so they can have a
refreshing trip during the hot summertime.

So,
how’s the pricing?
Rates
vary depending on the length of stay.
During
the day, three hours is the standard length of stay with there being an additional
fee thereafter.
In
terms of the additional length of stay,
Day
Use from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM is available for up to three blocks (9 hours)
while
Overnight stay is available at the request of the guest the day of the visit
and in person only.
