If you take a bus from Chungmuro Station or Dongdaemun Station, you can get to Namsan North Sunhwanro Entrance in 10 minutes. Many people love to visit this place as there are various walking trails in Namsan mountain. In this post, we will introduce Namsan Walking Trail No.1 - Forest Trail.

Just follow the "Namsan Dulle-gil" sign and walk towards the Forest Trail. You will soon see a staircase.

Although the staircase is quite long but it is not steep. Do take your time and walk up slowly.

After taking about 600 steps of stairs, you will start to see the view of Seoul city that seems to be far away.

Once you have finished walking up the stairs, you can enjoy the scenery of downtown Seoul from an open space like an observatory. At this observatory, you will be able to see the National Theater of Korea and even the top of other mountains from afar. If you have the time and energy, we recommend you to try out this walking course.

Going back to where you came from, you will see the entrance to Namsan Dulle-gil No.1 - Forest Trail.

If you go straight to the forest trail without going up the stairs, you can see the sign that says South Entrance of Forest Trail on the floor. The Namsan Dulle-gil starts from here, with 9 different walking courses and it ends at North Sunhwanro Entrance. It could take a long time to finish walking all 9 courses, so it is recommended that you just select a few walking courses to do in one day.

According to the sign on the floor, there is a wooden deck on the left, and at the end of the deck is the way into the forest trail.
