Yeongjongjin Park (feat. Gueup Baeteo)

Gueup Baeteo

One Autumn day when the cold wind blows, we traveled to Gueup Baeteo (Old Boat Docks) in Incheon to enjoy the sea scenery and seasonal seafood.

This location is Gueup Baeteo, where Gyeongwon Pavilion that was for envoys from the Song Dynasty of China during Goryeo Dynasty, and the place where international trade ships come and go. It is known as the only sea route leading to the land until Yeongjongdaegyo Bridge connecting to the land was built. Let's take a walk and feel the beauty of mudflats and the ships that come and go.

The prawns and gizzard shad are in season during Autumn, so it is recommended to try the grilled prawns after taking a walk by the seaside.

You could also see the view of Gueup Baeteo as you walk.

Taepyeongru Pavilion and Fortress Wall, which can be seen as you walk following the direction on sign board, symbolize the painful history of the Japanese warship, Unyangho that illegally infiltrated the Ganghwa Island on September 20, 1875, and on the next day, it started a battle and attacked Yeongjongjin.

The barrel next to Taepyeongru Pavilion looks majestic.
