How to take AREX: “Follow the sign written in yellow!”

One of the fastest and easiest ways to get to downtown Seoul, such as Seoul Station and Hongik University, from Incheon International Airport is to take AREX.

It is easy to get to AREX Incheon International Airport Station from the Incheon International Airport arrival hall.

Upon exiting the arrivals area on the ground floor of Incheon International Airport, you will find various signs for AREX, limousine buses, and the like. Unlike for the other forms of transportation, the sign for AREX is written in yellow to make it easily noticeable.

There are several routes to AREX Incheon International Airport Station (in the Transport Center) from the Incheon International Airport arrival area. 

If you find yourself in the central portion of the arrival hall, find the sign for AREX and follow the sign to the first basement.

If you are in the right or left sided portion of the arrival hall, go to the Transport Center on the first floor and follow the AREX sign to the first basement.

You can also follow the AREX pictogram to get to the AREX airport station.

As AREX links two international airports, Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport, to the Seoul Station City Airport Terminal, the AREX pictogram has an airplane in the crew compartment of the train to symbolize the function of AREX.

The AREX pictogram is vital in letting passengers know they can catch an AREX train at six transfer stations in the metropolitan area.
