Sejong-daero to be car-free on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of every month

Starting March 2014, the section of the road from the Gwanghwamun three-way intersection to the Sejong-daero intersection will become a pedestrian-only street on the first and third Sunday of every month.

During the days when Sejong-daero is a pedestrian-only street, visitors can enjoy a variety of events and attractions such as the mini arboretum, family picnics, sporting events, photo exhibitions and street performances.

On the third Sunday of every month, there will be food kiosks and a farmers’ market selling locally-grown products and recyclable items. A portion of the profits will be contributed to a donation fund.

Visitors can also check out the nearby tourist attractions such as Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Museum of History and Seoul Museum of Art.
