Korail airport railroad is the train running between Inchaeon Airport station and Seoul station. Currently, it is one of the mostly used means of transportation among visitors in Korea. There are lots of useful tips ,if passengers know before boarding trains, because Korail airport railroad have a wide range of functions and services different from regular subway.

The first, it is running by 2 systems: one is all stop train stopping at all the 11 stations and the other is an express train running by non-stop between Seoul station and Incheon Airport station. It's more convenient to you to take an express train if you would like to go fast and pleasant between Incheon airport station and Seoul station. 

You should use all stop train if you would get off or transfer to other station such as the Hongdae station. Passengers using all stop train sit on either side together on a long seat like a regular subway.

On the other hand, an express train has individual seats with spacious luggage space available. And so there is no room for standing in an express train. Especially, train crews provide various guide services to passengers and have toilet facilities in express train. So it’s good for passengers who would like to travel in a quiet atmosphere without being disturbed.

They charge 8,000 Won fare for express train each person between Incheon airport station and Seoul station (all stop train is 3,950 Won in using transportation card) but discounted fare of 6,000 Won each person is offered in the case of using over 4 persons.

 The second, there is a city airport terminal performing check-in and departure review in Seoul station. If you depart through Incheon international airport by Korean Air or Asiana airline or Jeju airline, let's try to use a city airport terminal in Seoul station. Your departure process can be quickly carried out in one-stop only within 10 minutes. But this service is offered only to passengers using an express train. The discounted fare of 6,000 Won each person is offered in the case of using over 4 persons by express train compared to 8,000 Won for individual passenger.

The third, exchanging money at Seoul station of Korail airport railroad has an advantage over other places. The exchange shop of Woori bank located in the entrance of a city airport terminal at Seoul station(the second basement) claims the lowest exchange fee in Korea and so you can save the fee of exchange more than any other exchange shops. You can buy some more presents with saved exchange fees. Don't forget to hold exchanging money in Korea and exchange your money right at the exchange shop of Seoul station.
