Gimpo International Airport Station consists of many floors and has several subway lines such as Airport Railroad (AREX), Line 5 and Line 9 and the recently opened Gimpo Gold Line. It can be confusing and seems complicated to people who seldom come to Gimpo Airport Station. In this post, we will give you some tips on how to use Gimpo Airport Station, so that you don't wander and get lost in the station.

Gimpo Airport Station consists of four basement floors.
You can take AREX on B3 and B4 floor. If you want to go up to the boarding gate on B1 floor, you can take the elevator or escalator.
Gimpo Airport Station B4 Floor

On B4 floor, it is where Airport Railroad (AREX) and Line 9 located. The AREX train heading Incheon International Airport and subway line 9 heading Gaehwa will stop here. Therefore, if you are going to Incheon International Airport or Gaehwa, you can transfer to the subway/train at B4 floor.

If you are not going to transfer, you can take the elevator to get to the exit. The elevator is located near the front section of the platform. Although the elevator can bring many people to go up at once, sometimes there are many passengers with luggages so it might get a bit slow. If the line is too long, it is a good idea to use the escalator.
Gimpo Airport Station B3 Floor

On B3 floor, you can transfer to AREX line that heads to Digital Media City Station, Hongik University Station and Seoul Station. You can also transfer to Seoul Subway Line 5 and Line 9, so please check the transfer information before heading to the platform.

On B3 floor, it is where Seoul Subway Line 5 train (Heading Sangil-dong & Macheon) and Seoul Subway Line 9 General/ Express train (heading Central Veterans Hospital) stops. If you wish to transfer to these lines, get to B3 floor.

Depending on the line that you want to transfer to, the direction will be different. In order to save time, please check the transfer information before you move.
▲Transfer Gate to Subway Line 5 on B3 Floor
If you wish to transfer to Seoul Subway Line 5 heading Sangil-dong / Macheon, you have to pass the transfer gate located on B3 floor. Please note that additional fare will not be charged, so you can just tag your transportation card at the transfer gate.

There is an elevator located on B3 Floor. Sometimes, there is a very long queue so it may be a better idea to take escalator as it is often faster than elevator (and especially when you are in a rush).
Gimpo Airport Station B2 Floor

On B2 floor, you can take Seoul Subway Line 5 train (heading Banghwa and Gaehwasan) and Gimpo Gold Line (heading Yangchon).

If you want to transfer to Seoul Subway Line 5 or Gimpo Gold Line, you can tag the card at the transfer gate and go.

Gimpo Gold Line is the subway line opened on September 28, 2019. It is the automated light metro that operates from Yangchon Station in Gimpo-si (Gyeonggi Province) to Gimpo Airport Station in Gangseo-gu (Seoul). With Gimpo Airport Station as the center, you can take Seoul Subway Line 9, Line 5 and AREX to get to Gangnam, Yeouido, Seoul Station and Incheon International Airport more quickly.
Gimpo Airport Station B1 Floor

On B1 floor, you can go to the passageway connected to Gimpo Airport domestic and international terminal, as well as Lotte Mall.
▲ Exit for Passengers who get off from Seoul Subway Line 5 on B1 Floor
There are 4 exits at Gimpo Airport Station. If you wish to get to Domestic Terminal, Korea Airports Corporation, please follow Exit 1. However, get off at Exit 4 if you are going to Domestic Terminal Parking Lot. Get off at Exit 2 to get to Gimpo Airport International Terminal or the International Terminal Parking Lot. Lastly, if you wish to go to Lotte Mall, please follow Exit 3.

If you come out of the gate at Gimpo Airport Station, you can follow the passage leading to the domestic line on the left.

In addition, specially for the disabled, the elderly, pregnant women and passengers with infants, the porty care service is available (free of charge) to assist them to move from the AREX station to the Gimpo Airport Domestic Terminal via phone reservation (02-2550-2478).

On the first floor of Gimpo Airport Domestic Terminal, there are many facilities such as post office, lost and found center, baggage storage center and bank.

There are airlines counter check-in and self-check-in machines on the 2nd Floor and 3rd floor.
