[Healing Place] Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park

 In this post, we will introduce you the Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park (강서습지생태공원).

Located next to Gangseo Hangang Park, Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park is a wetland park consists of low wetlands, freshwater lakes and aquatic plants. This is a place with reeds, willow trees, and where migratory birds visit every summer and winter, thus you can see and learn about nature in the heart of Seoul city.

Unlike the other Hangang Park that we are familiar with, the Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park is a good place for family with children to visit because they can observe various plants and birds while walking through the woodlands.

As you follow the Gangseo Trail in the Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park, you will see various signboard. Let's check out the trail!

Unfortunately, you can't enter the bird observation deck, but you can still see visit the observatory to enjoy the view of the Han River at a glance.

On the 1st floor of the observatory, you can see information board of various birds and animals that come to Han River. It is surprising that many different creatures coexist in the Hangang Park, the place where people usually visit for picnic or to take a walk.

When you get up to the observatory, you will first see the view of the beautiful Han River with the red Banghwa Bridge on the right.

At the observatory, there is a telescope for you to view the ecological park for free. If you check out the forest on the left side of the ecological park, you will find various bird species sitting in the forest.

By looking at the green-filled forest and the view of the Han River from the observatory, hopefully you will forget about the hot weather.

​When you come to Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park, you feel like you are walking on a rural road in Gangwon-do. You can enjoy fresh air with green plants. In the summer, if you walk along the trail, you can easily see birds flying around the Han River.

You can visit Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park freely from sunrise to sunset.

From Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park, it takes about 5 mins walk to get to Gangseo Hangang Park.

​Just like any other Hangang Park, you can enjoy small camping in the park to avoid the hot weather.
