[Walking Course in Seoul] Enjoy Beautiful Sunset at Naksan Park

 

It is getting chilly at night in Seoul. So, in this post, we will introduce you Naksan Park, a nice location to take a walk while enjoying the cool breeze. You may already knew that this place appeared a few times in K-drama as filming location, and it is a very popular dating place for couples.

It is good to visit Naksan Park during day, but it is even more beautiful at night.

There are a few ways to get to Naksan Park. Firstly, you may take AREX train to Seoul Station and transfer to Subway Line 4, then get off at Hyehwa Station. Walk passed the Ihwa Mural Village, and walk up hill to Naksan Park. Second way is to get off at Dongdaemun Station, and walk along the Heunginjimun Gate Park.

Today, we will show you how to get to Naksan Park from Changsin Station (Subway Line 6).

When you arrive at the entrance of Naksan Park, you will see the information board about Seoul Fortress Wall. 

Seoul Fortress Wall is designated as Historic Site No. 10, which marks the boundaries of the city and was constructed to defend against invasion of outsiders.

The Naksan area of Seoul Fortress Wall starts from Hyehwamun Gate to Heunginjimun Gate. There are 6 areas at Seoul Fortress Wall and you may walk along all the courses in one day.

There are sports equipment installed at this park for the residents, but due to COVID-19, it is temporarily unavailable now.

If you walk from the central plaza to the 2rd and 3rd observatory zone, you will come to a wide plaza.

Don't forget to wear mask and maintain social distancing of 2m.

If you walk along the fortress wall in the late afternoon, you may be able to see the lights turning on one by one. If you stay a little longer, you will fall in love with the night view here. It is good to take a slow walk and enjoy some chit chat session with your friends here.

If you visit Naksan Park on the day with clear sky, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful sunset of Seoul. Therefore, it is recommended to come here near to the sunset in order to witness this breath-taking view.
