[Recommended Dessert Cafe in Seoul] Randy's Donuts and AUFGLET in Yeonnam-dong

There are two popular dessert cafes opened recently in Yeonnam-dong. One is Randy's Donuts from Jeju Island and the other one is AUFGLET from Seongsu. Both dessert cafes serves sweet donuts and croffles which have attracted many people in Seoul.

#1 Randy's Donuts

Randy's Donuts is near the Yeonnam Police Box, and is easy to find as the building is relatively big,

Randy's Donuts is a famous dessert cafe, from Jeju Island, that sells pretty and yummy donuts.

When you enter the cafe, you will find a space for people to place order. It is only available for take-out so you have to queue to make order.

There are as many types of donuts as other donuts franchise so it's fun to even choose the flavors that you like.

The pretty looking donuts cost KRW 2,000 ~ 3,000 per donut.

All the donuts are placed in the orange box for take-out. If you wish to receive your order faster, it will be good for you to, first, tell the staff how many donuts you wish to purchase.

Although you can only do take-out at Randy's Donuts, if you wish to enjoy donuts together with coffee, you may go to the cafe on second floor.

At this building, there is Randy's Donuts on first floor, and a cafe on second till fourth floor. 2F- 3F are indoor cafe, and 4F is the terrace. It is almost full in this cafe everyday, so if you come here in weekend, there may be waiting list.

We ordered 4 of the most popular flavors, namely, M&M donut, S'mores donut, Mint Chocolate donut, Pink Sprinkles donut.

M&M donut is filled with the colorful M&M chocolates on top of the donut. Since the base is also chocolate, when you eat it, your mouth will be filled with the sweet chocolate.

S'mores donut has thick marshmallows on top of the donut. The soft texture combines with sweet chocolate that could possibly help you to release some stress.

If you are a fan of mint chocolate, this is definitely a must-try! There are lots of choco chips on top of the mint chocolate base. You could definitely feel the rich taste of mint chocolate.

Pink Sprinkles donut looks so pretty and presentable as though it just popped out from a cartoon.

There is a photo zone at the exit of Randy's Donuts, so don't forget to take some photos here too! Not only do the donuts look pretty, it is also very delicious.

#2 AUFGLET

Lately, Croffles are one of the most popular dessert in Korea.  Croffle is a delicious, crispy dessert in waffle shape that uses croissant dough. In addition, the original store that sells croffles was from Cafe Aufglet in Seongsu-dong, which has recently opened a branch in Yeonnam-dong.

If you wish to enter Cafe Aufglet, you should start queuing before the cafe is opened. There is usually a queue on weekdays and weekend, so if you come late in the afternoon, do write down your name on the waiting list, if required to wait.

The size of the cafe seems normal, but the gap between the tables is quite small when the place is full.

Overall, the interior is quite modern as there are some artistic works hung on the wall, which makes the cafe looks like a gallery.

There are some seats on the B1 floor, but the space is quite small so it might get crowded. The best seats are on the first floor.

It takes some time to prepare the croffles, so please wait patiently after you have made order.

There is vanilla ice-cream on top of the croffles.

There use 2 times of the croissants ingredients in one croffle, so the portion might be too big for one person to eat. If you are visiting this cafe with a friend, it is recommended to order 1 first, and if you wish to eat more, you can add on later.

Other than ice-cream, they also provide syrup. Overall, the croffle taste sweet and it goes well with ice Americano.

How to enjoy croffles? Cut it using fork and knife, and eat it together with the ice-cream in one bite!

Have you ever tried croffles? If you have yet to try, do visit Cafe Aufglet in Seoul and check out these yummylicious croffles!
