Today, I will quickly tell
you about a place full of a variety of experiences that you can discover and
take as pleasant memories.
It’s none other than the
place that exchanges trends and culture: the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DPP)!
What Kind of Place is the Dongdaemun Design
Plaza (DPP)?
The Dongdaemun Design Plaza
(DPP) opened in 2014 in Seoul’s Jung-gu Eulji-ro district. It provides a space for a variety of
exhibitions, fashion shows, new product unveilings, forums, conferences, and
more. In all, it’s a large complex to
put on a variety of cultural events.
Diversity of Dreams Made True and Enjoyed!
At the DDP complex is a place for various
cultural experiences, you will find Seoul’s Fashion Week and learn about
traditional Korean culture through the design exhibitions, souvenirs shops
where you can buy symbolic pieces representing Seoul, design lectures, knowledge
concerts, and more.
Events and
Exhibitions to Enjoy Trends and Culture
At
the 2019 COLLECTIVE CITY there are exhibits and Seoul tour events as well as
the Bamdokkaebi Night Market, designs for kids, and an artistically designed
play space that awakens kids’ thoughts and senses.
Every
time you visit, you will find a new cultural event to enjoy.
The
Best Photo Zone Only at DDP!
The DDP’s outside stairs feature a space that you just
can’t miss! It is well-known thanks to countless celebrities and entertainers
visiting, Fashion Week events, and more.
Further, at night the DDP is lit up by many differently
shapes and colored lights. Outside, you will see the DDP’s rose garden that
boasts man-made LED roses creating a dreamlike feeling perfect not just for
dates but for touring and taking great photos.
Tips for Taking the AREX to the DDP!

Take line 4 from Seoul Station “0”
and for
“4” stops to Dondaemun History and Culture Park
Station leave through exit “14”. Walk “7” minutes and you
will arrive at the DDP.
