KLIVE, K-POP hologram concert hall, becomes popular

KLIVE on the 9th floor of Lotte fitin at Dongdaemun emerges as the popular sightseeing course to foreigners




'KT KLIVE concert hall, located on the 9th floor of Lotte fitin next to DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), is the world's first dedicated K-POP hologram concert hall combined with K-POP and digital technology. Famous K-POP stars like Psy, Bigbang, 2NE1 and others appear but they actually don't be on the stag at this hall. This is the concert hall utilizing '3D hologram technology' that is shown in 3 dimensions like being something or someone in front of one's eyes.
 
The show comes on. Psy starts to dance with song of 'Gangnam style', which appears and combines with 'mud soldiers in the tomb of Qin Shi Huang' and 'aliens in the galaxy' on stage. Audiences packing into the hall begin to cheer and get extremely excited about the performance. These scenes look like an actual show.
Lots of audiences are foreign tourists such as Chinese and Japanese. As foreigners are hard to visit Korea on schedule of his/her favorite K-POP singer's performance, a hologram concert may be the best alternative for them.


It's the most attractive thing to choose and watch his/her favorite singer's performance at any time he/she wants. It also attracts foreigners, who enable to learn K-POP singers' dance through a 'K-POP dance experience' corner.
This is the standing concert hall with no seat. Audience can be addicted to K-POP world through the dynamic performance and music of singers who appear through a hologram. 

Even though it's a hologram performance, it shows 3 dimension images holding all of light intensity and status to objects. So, it is hard for you to tell real from virtual. Thanks to clear image and panoramic view of the 270°, this show is full of vitality like actual performances in front of you.
 

There are lots of something interesting to watch except a hologram concert at this hall. There are various kinds of events which audiences can take part in directly such as 'AR(Augmented Reality)' giving some feeling like you get on with K-POP star together, 'secret window' that you can watch unreleased pictures through special glasses, 'giant tower of 6 meters tall that you can pick up your own thing among pictorial records of some stars 'star photo box that you shoot with a star and print it out. And there are some stores you can buy albums and fashion items of K-POP singers.
 
KLIVE show lasts about 1 hour each at 2,4,6,8 pm ,respectively, and is closed on Monday. The admission fee is 33,000 Won for adults, 16,000 Won for youth.

The way to the concert hall:
In using Korail airport railroad, transfer to subway line no.4 at Seoul station and get off at Dongdaemun history and culture park station, get out of the exit 11, 12 and go to the 9th floor of Lotte fitin. After the transfer passage connecting Seoul station of Incheon airport railroad with subway line no 1 and 4 will be opened by the end of March, passengers can transfer more conveniently to subway line no. 4 from Seoul station.

  1. Yeah I know that this is one of the best event halls in Philadelphia and it is the world's first dedicated K-POP hologram concert hall. I have been there several times and enjoyed a lot in live concerts.
