There are many new shops such as restaurants and cafes near Magongnaru Station. In this post, we will share some useful tips at Magongnaru Station.


[Fastest Way to Transfer]




When you take the AREX to Magongnaru Station and want to transfer to Subway Line 9, you can get off at the Car #2-1 for those heading to Seoul Station.

For train heading to Incheon Airport Station, get off at Car #6-4, you may use the escalator or elevator.




 

If you want to go to Exit 3, 4, 5, 6 using the fastest way, get off at Car 6-4 (towards Seoul Station), Car 2-1 (towards Incheon Airport).

Restroom








The restroom at Magongnaru Station has received a certificate of toilet culture quality. You may check the availability (in use or vacant) at the entrance, so it is convenient if you need to use it.

There is a restroom located before exiting the ticket gate and another one next to the Exit 6 (The exit to get to Magok square)

Nursing Room





For the convenience of the passengers who are traveling with child/infant, nursing room is prepared at Magongnaru Station.

There is a baby bed for changing diapers comfortably, a sink for washing hands and a sofa if you need to take a short break. The nursing room is cleaned every day, and they also check carefully to see if there's any hidden cameras.

The nursing room is located opposite the Information Center. It is normally locked. In order to use it, you may request it at the Information Center.

There is a GS25 convenience store before the transfer gate to Subway Line 9.


Other Store in the Station




Opposite the Dunkin' Donuts and before transferring to Subway Line 9, there is an area for you to sit and take a rest.


Attraction nearby Magongnaru Station


When you get off at Magongnaru Station Exit 3 or 4, you can walk to Seoul Botanical Garden - where you can enjoy the nature in the midst of the tired daily life.




Seoul Botanical Park is the first urban botanical garden in Seoul. It is a botanical park for everyone. It is separated into a few sections such as Forest Field, Lake Garden, Botanic Garden, and Wetlands. Other than Botanic Garden, the other zones are available all year round. If you plan to visit the Botanic Garden, do take note of this.

The visitor center is located at the entrance of Seoul Botanical Park, which is the Forest Field. You can find information about how to tour around the botanical park and various on-going events. 








If you walk a little further at the Forest Field, you can see the entrance to the Botanic Garden. You can buy the admission ticket at the kiosk in front of the entrance. To enter the Botanic Garden, just scan the ticket. The Botanic Garden is opened from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm from March to October, and last admission is at 5:00 pm.





There is a greenhouse at the Botanic Garden. Due to COVID-19, you need to check in using QR code when you enter the greenhouse. In addition, there is a limit of visitors at one time to ensure there is social distancing.

- Busy hours: 2pm - 4pm





Upon entering the greenhouse building, there is a permanent exhibition hall where you can learn the characteristics of plants and the environment of each climate zone. There are many fun and informative videos, so we recommend you to tour around, experience various things and enter the greenhouse.






On the first floor, there is a seed library where you can listen to the explanations of seeds, read books related to it, and you can even borrow seeds to grow them.

If you want to borrow seeds, you can fill out the rental form (provided at the help desk). The return of seeds is not mandatory, but the type and quantity of loan seeds may change depending on the return record.

The Greenhouse exhibits plants from 12 tropical and Mediterranean cities. You can see plants that are grow at each city and experience walking on the skywalk where you can see tropical plants at one glance. If you need some relaxation in your tired daily life, we recommend you to visit Seoul Botanical Park, the green healing space in the city.
