[AREX Monthly Station] Enjoy Various Spaces at Magongnaru Station

The Stop of the Month for November is...
This transfer station on Line 9 of the Airport Railroad will allow you to enjoy all sorts of different places within Seoul!
Let’s take a look at Magongnaru Station. :)

Magongnaru Station is located in the Magok district, which has complex buildings that include various different business facilities, hotels, and conventions.

Along with there being plenty of different things to see in the area, there is now also a transfer station that allows passengers to make use of the Airport Railroad as well as Line 9 with the opening of the Airport Railroad Magongnaru Station.

Magongnaru Station is made up of a 1st floor and a 2nd underground floor. The transfer gate for Line 9, the ticket gate, the Airport Railroad waiting room, and various different labor and convenience facilities can be used on the 1st floor. The Airport Railroad platform can be found on the  2nd underground floor,

and the 1st underground floor offers a customer service center, ticket machines and transit card charging machines, ATMs, guide-related signage, and various other amenities.

There is plenty of other digital signage in languages other than Korean for the sake of tourists as well as areas to have a simple meal as well as feeding rooms and safety-related equipment. There are other facilities like bike racks outside the station.

also connects with a parking lot as well as the Airport Railway. This area, along with areas like Magok Central Square and the Botanic Park, are used by a large number of people.

You can also park in a more comfortable way than bringing your car in and pulling out your card outside by paying ahead of time with the automatic fare machine.

The 1st underground floor is connected to the Botanic Park, which leads to areas such as Magok Central Square, allowing visitors to see and enjoy several spots in the area without any difficulty.

You can also see beautiful murals painted on the tile walls of Magongnaru Station.
There is also an impressive mural showcasing the Airport Railroad that was produced to commemorate the completion of Magongnaru Station, which opened at the end of 2018.

This has been a look at the inside of Magongnaru Station.
Now, shall we take a look and see what there is to do in the area around Magongnaru Station?

Seoul Botanic Park

Seoul Botanic Park introduces the plant life and plant culture of 12 cities around the world, and it exists in Magok as the last developing site in Seoul in order to increase the city’s ecology sensitivity.

Seoul Botanic Garden is divided up into 4 major parts: the open forest, the botanic garden, the lake park, and the marsh eco park.

The Open Forest is the entrance to the botanic garden and a space where a guide service is provided for visitors.
Guests who enter the square connected to the subway station can see a wide lawn in the middle of the forest.

There are many different things to see in all four seasons, including festivals and special exhibitions.

The Botanic Garden is comprised of an outdoor botanic garden that is a reproduction of a traditional garden done with Korean wild vegetation, as well as a greenhouse that exhibits plants from 12 cities in the tropics and Mediterranean.

Guests can also see the Children’s Garden School and Magok Cultural Center, which has been designated as a registered cultural property by the City of Seoul.

The greenhouse is especially famous as a date spot and photo zone.

The Lake Park is an area that features a walking path around a lake as well as a deck with a view of the waterside.
This is both an educational space for ecology as well as a resting area that allows guests to sit on the stairs to the lake and view the botanical garden as well as observe the wetland plants and residential birds.

The lake garden’s walking path and night view are also well-known to be hidden photo zones.
The lake garden or marsh eco park are both good spots to have a relaxing time together with romantic partners or family.

This has been a look at Magongnaru Station and the area around it.

We hope you make a lot of nice winter memories in the various areas around Magongnaru Station with your families and romantic partners. :)

When you turn right at the large block behind the entrance of Seoul Forest,
you will encounter the deer out on an open field.

where you can obtain the food that can be given to the deer.
