AREX Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station is located at the Incheon Airport Transportation Center.

The AREX Express Train that only takes 43 minutes from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station or the city center is now operating as a temporary train that stops at all AREX stations.

※The AREX Express Train will resume its operation starting January 1st, 2022.

Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station is one of the most happening stations of AREX, but it is eagerly waiting for people to come as the number of visitors have reduced due to COVID-19. In this post, we will share with you the fastest way to get to the passenger terminal from transportation center, convenience facilities and others.

[Fastest Way to Get Off the Train]

-- AREX Incheon Airport T2 Station Direction

You can get off at Car #1-1, #5-4, and take the escalator to go up. When you get off at Car #1-1 to go up, you will come out to the ticket gate of AREX Express Train.

If you get off at Car #3-1, you can take the elevator.

-- AREX Seoul Station Direction

For AREX Seoul Station direction, it is separated by AREX Express train and AREX All-Stop Train.

If you mistakenly got off at the wrong station, you can't take the train at the opposite platform due to the fence placed in the middle of the platform. So please be careful and check twice before getting off the train.

If you get off at Car #4-1, #5-2, and take the escalator to go up, you may exit the station in the fastest way to get to Incheon Airport Passenger Terminal.

If you want to use the elevator, you can get off at Car #2-3.

Let us tell you how to get to the departure hall in the fastest way after getting off at AREX Incheon Airport T1 Station.

After taking the elevator or escalator to go up to B1 floor from the train platform, just pass through the ticket gate, and take the escalator up to get to the Incheon Airport Departure Hall. If you need to use the baggage cart, you can take the moving walk next to the escalator.

There are two restrooms at the AREX Incheon Airport T1 Station, and both are located outside the ticket gate. After coming out from AREX All-Stop Train ticket gate, you can see on restroom on the left. If you come out from AREX Express Train ticket gate, you can see the restroom on the right.

[Convenience Facilities]

--  Customer Information Center

Same like the restroom, you can find a Customer Information Center located outside the ticket gate of AREX Express Train and AREX All-Stop Train.

-- Free Electric Cart Service for vulnerable passengers

Electric cart for the vulnerable (eg. children and elderly) are available to match the arrival time of the AREX train. Since the number of airport passengers has reduced lately, this service is also open for other passengers. There are two carts operating at the moment, and they wait outside the ticket gate of AREX All stop Train and AREX Express Train.

-- ATM

The ATM is located inside the ticket gate of AREX All stop Train and AREX Express Train. When you take the escalator up from the platform, you will be able to see the ATM.

-- Self Exchange Lounge

There is a Self Exchange Lounge for currency exchange that can be found near the AREX All stop Train platform.

However, the Travel Store and Express Train Passengers Lounge are closed due to COVID-19.

When the AREX Express Train operation resumes, the lounge for AREX Express Train passengers will be in operation again.

※The AREX Express Train will resume its operation starting January 1st, 2022.

-- Baggage Cart

You can get a baggage cart right in front of the AREX All-Stop Train ticket gate. There is also an area for baggage cart which can be found under the moving walk near the AREX Express Train ticket gate.

-- Transportation Card (T-money) Vending Machine

There is a self-service transportation card (T-money) vending machine outside AREX All-Stop Train. There are many designs available, so it can be fun to choose the design that you want and buy it.

As AREX Express Train is scheduled to resume its operation on January 1st, 2022, we hope for the day when everyone can travel abroad safely again.

With AREX express trains and general trains running from end to end, Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station is located in the heart of Incheon International Airport.

Let me give you and introduction. :)

Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station takes on the demand of transportation for the capital area of Seoul while also taking on the role as an airport Hub for Southeast Asia. As such, in 2001, the airport terminal’s transportation center was opened in Yongyu-do.

Further, another one of AREX’s representative stations is Incheon Airport Terminal 2. It allows for transport to downtown Seoul as well and serves as a great hub for countless travelers.

 

Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station also takes pride in offering convenience facilities such as CGV for watching a movie and a cultural complex area for travelers to enjoy.

 

Makeup shops, stores for glasses, convenience stores, cafes and more are all available for your convenience. You can even do office tasks such as scan, copy and print documents.

 

Not only that, but there are, of course, also currency exchange booths, traveler stores, luggage storage, wrapping machines, and luggage shipping (airport – hotel) services. Further, there are so many other services available to you such as getting a sim card for your phone, pocket wifi, checking your coat, securing an electric cart, and more.

 

 

In addition, there is a 24 hour spa for weary travelers to rest and recover, a medical center, lost luggage center, child play area, and self-check in. These are all available for all traveler’s greatest convenience.

BMW Driving Center

The BMW Driving Center opened its doors in 2014 and these days puts on various events and activities to show off its ever changing more public look.

In particular, it’s easy to stop by using the AREX and has been receiving great praise from adults and children alike.

 

At the entrance of the center are new BMW cars and their latest models.  Not only BMW, MINI, and Rolls Royce but also classic BMW cars are on display allowing you to take a look at the past in one go.

Outside of this, there are not only restaurants in which to eat, experience zones and workshops that are easy for kids to understand and enjoy but also various programs and leisurely activities in addition to driving.

Misiran Beach

You can’t miss Masiran Beach on Yongyu-do island on the west coast and its beautiful sands, mud flats, and beaches.

The waves of the west sea are beautiful in the morning, but the thing you must go to see is the glowing sun during sunset.

While watching the sun set past the Supyeong Mountains of the west coast, every year crowds of people stop by at the end of the year to make a wish for the future.

The beach runs 3kms long and is one of Yongyu-do island’s hot spots for a romantic time with a loved one or with the family.
